Our bread is made with the best quality flour, milled from Canadian wheat. The mill we use has been grinding flour since the eighteenth century, preparing each bag by hand ready for us to bake to perfection in our state of the art stone ovens.
Each of our Cholla breads is platted by hand and baked slowly to get the most amount of air bubbles inside, making them extra fluffy.
We shall not forget our old favourite, our delicious bagels, which before being baked are boiled for extra moisture and sweetness. We thank our bagels as this technique has earned Carmelli our place in history, as we were the first British bakery to adopt the practice, much to the delight of our customers.
We are also proud that at Carmelli Bakery we have reduced the amount of salt we use in our bread just so we can all live a little longer.
